Calling on Bloggers - Issues that matter

In preparation for the second part of this blog assignment, we each selected a blog site that is both of personal interest and highly ranked (linked to) within the blogosphere. This would actually work better if our selections were people we already know. However, since we’re all new to this, we’ll go with what we have.

Prepare an email to this blogger telling them that as a class we are trying to raise the visibility of the September project within online communities. In order to do this, we’re creating a new brand for the September project.

We have two goals with this effort. First, we hope to differentiate the September project from the specific events of September 11, 2001. While the anniversary of September 11 is significant in and of itself, the September project has broader goals of civic engagement by discussion issues that matter around the globe.

[here’s where each of us explains the civic issues that matter to us as individuals. Remember that the September project is an infrastructure for getting people talking to each other. What they/we talk about is up to them/us.]

Secondly, we are attempting to raise the page rank of September project resulting from the Internet search of the phrase, “issues that matter”. To facilitate both of these goals we are asking for assistance among highly ranked bloggers.

Specifically, we are requesting your [blogger] help in perpetuating our Google bomb by linking the phrase “issues that matter” to the September project website: http://theseptemberproject.org/
